September arrives and the return to the blog

It already smells like school to normality, schedules, shopping, back to work and back to the blog, or at least go back to writing, it’s full of energy, after the summer let’s slow down the post.

It is good to mark a time of the year as the beginning of the cycle, just like at school and consider the goals we want to achieve and what we want to do with our blog during the year. Actually, you can do any month, but this month, like October, I don’t know what it has but it seems that everything spreads more and you feel like doing more things and making more decisions.

September arrives and the return to the blog
In my case today I am going to think out loud in case you dare to rescue any of these ideas or put some into practice, in my case I have sat down to think about things to improve my blog, I don’t want to bore you with the 70,000 changes that I want to make to the template because some are imperceptible but for me they are mistakes that I don’t want to drag along, but with other aspects that sometimes I don’t consider so important and during the summer I have I realize that I must change and improve.

In principle, I think about the novelties that I want to incorporate little by little, I am very realistic with my goals and I prefer to focus on what I can do in a simpler way: The organization of the blog in terms of publications and regularity, the newsletter and trying to monetize the blog to be able to continue with it.

News

September is a good month to start new sections on the blog, new collaborations with other blogs, improve everything you’ve seen in the summer and start writing articles. Include a section of interviews with other bloggers so that they can talk about their experience at the beginning and talk about the process of their work. I think it is very important for beginners to see how other bloggers have started and pick up those little pills of wisdom from each one’s personal entrepreneurship. Luckily, I have gotten to know many bloggers, thanks to Facebook groups to which I am very grateful for the work they do so that we bloggers are visible on that network. I have added a social media section, because it is a way to promote ourselves and reach all kinds of public, we must be up to date with everything that can help us.

Organization

I don’t know if it happens to you like it does to me, but when this time of year arrives when I see so many diaries in stores, they are so beautiful, it makes me want to organize things better and write everything down so that I don’t forget anything. So, I have set to work to make an organizer for blogs and some other surprises. As is often the case, agendas are not usually personalized for our “so modern” lives, and sometimes we need them to be on the computer, not on paper.

Social networks and distribution

Send a Newsletter every 15 days with the most interesting articles and give away a freebie related to resources for blogs to add value to the newsletter, I will pay attention to other bloggers who talk about the importance of a mailing list and put more interest in get a good list of subscribers. Schedule posts for the Facebook fan page, so that it achieves some visibility and pay attention to Twitter that I have forgotten.

Monetization

I’m waiting to get private advertisers, who are interested in offering their ads here because they sell related items or offer services, but the blog has very little time so I’ll wait until I have a little more time to evaluate the inclusion of publicity. So, I want to start giving importance to several ways to amortize what it costs me. So, a priority is to get down to work with the store of templates and resources for blogs, recently I was talking about it with my colleagues and they told me that being a designer and programmer, how could I not get my act together with that topic things that happen.
Now I’m working on designs for a virtual store of objects, clothes and some more surprising things but it’s a secret, although I’m closing very cool collaborations.
