The 12 reasons why your blog is not successful

Who said that it is easy to write a blog? Success depends on many different factors and luckily many of them are in our power to fix with a little work.

Many times, we ask ourselves “why don’t I have more visits to my blog?”  I’m the first to ask myself this question, what will they do? I can’t help but see how other people’s blogs go up like foam, the easiest thing is not to sleep thinking about how to improve and give it that boost it lacks.

The 12 reasons why your blog is not successful
Actually what separates us from our readers are a series of small factors not all attributable to SEO that we must improve to increase blog traffic. These 10 SEO mistakes that we make without knowing can play tricks on you!
It’s not that they don’t like your blog, mind you! but they do not read it because it goes unnoticed or there are small barriers between your blog and the reader. There are some that are fixed in 5 minutes and others take months but if you set your mind to it, you will surely achieve it.

1 You haven’t done any SEO at all yet, or you do something very occasionally

SEO is like the gym, either you do it often or you don’t notice it, thanks to SEO you get better relevance in search engines, better page authority, you optimize your content, you increase your CPC, your CTR, so boring, Sea is one of the factors that most help them find your blog and access your content.

2 You haven’t identified your audience:

The sooner you realize that you do not write for yourself but for other people  , you will have advanced a lot, do not make the mistake of speaking from a podium, speak with confidence.
Look for the type of people who read your blog and are really interested in what you write, once you know who that audience is, you will treat it better and you will receive the feed-back reward.
You do not know how your audience searches , this is a more important SEO factor than we think at first, however, there are several techniques among which is starting to write in the browser to see what long tail suggests carefully because It’s a bit confusing, it will also tell you the most hackneyed ones, the best thing is to look for synonyms and go to the Google Keyword planner. When you connect with your reader, magic happens!

3 Do not create content with your audience in mind

The reader is always looking for a benefit when reading something, learning about a topic, getting information, sometimes you leave the reader wanting to know more? poorly done unless you have another post that clears up any doubts, this is a common technique but put your teeth on it so that you have to go to another blog to thank for the clarifications. I haven’t seen it yet. Think that blog readers get bored of everything, are unfaithful and like to be up to date.

4 The loading time is excessive.

This is the origin of all evil, it is the culprit of increasing the bounce rate on blogs and it is the reason why many people cannot access your content, a page load of more than 5 seconds is an unbearable time for any visit. Try to correct it as much as possible, it is not always due to the design there are many other factors.

5 You don’t coddle your content enough

Apart from the texts, there are things that make the reader feel lazy when reading your blog, such as: few images, you do not link to related topics, you do not try to change the distribution of the posts in another way long paragraphs and small fonts.

6 You don’t have a posting schedule

For the reader, regularity is important, maybe you think not, but for example I am looking forward to receiving some newsletters from blogs that are published on Monday and Tuesday before 10 in the morning to read them on the train. Like me there are many people and maybe you are one of them. When there is no calendar or regularity in a blog, in the end the readers disperse, imagine cases of people who write once a month and stop publishing two and come back with 7 posts in a row imagine what a mess.

7 You don’t plan your posts to be read on any device.

Optimization for mobiles and here I want to include that not only the blog but also the pop up, subscriptions, cookie warnings which sometimes make the reader take more than 6 seconds to access the content so many will have gone without reading a sentence.
Keep in mind the readability in this post I talk about typography:

8 You do not have a clear or defined theme,

That can be confusing because many blogs are of personal creation, they stick to the tastes and lifestyle of their author, I like them a lot, they usually vary a lot of topics but in reality, what hurts the most is monetization. There are other niche blogs or that are hosted on a theme, I do not want to say that it is the best, but to earn money with your blog it is more convenient. Maybe you should think about restructuring your content from time to time to make your readers more comfortable

9 Fair or bad design

It depends on the design that your blog is more pleasant for the reader, that it has more personality, that it is recognizable… for better, for worse or not at all.
I’m not saying that you stay up until 2 in the morning every day retouching photos… but if you leave the template that comes standard, you put the photos from google well, you better have spectacular content.

10 You don’t let yourself be seen enough on social media

If you lock yourself up to write posts and don’t dedicate a few minutes a day to social networks… we’re in a bad way, thanks to social networks many people discover interesting blogs and articles, social networks, apart from promoting, can virilize your content and make it reach more public thanks to the fact that it is easier to share.

11 Titles more «best seller»

It is something that depends on whether they enter your blog or not, I am not saying to hit the exact search that the reader does in the domain itself… that would be good, but the ideal is to make titles that hook, that sell, they are very few words but with them you must say a lot.

12 Believe in what you do and enjoy what you write

We make mistakes when we do things that we don’t like or in which we don’t believe, if you set up a blog do it with the desire to share and do things, don’t let yourself be overwhelmed by people who try to dissuade you!
