What is a blog? What is a blog for?

If we say that it is a personal blog to share experiences, we fall very short, it is a crumblier question than we think, besides, blogs are no longer simply a place from which to tell your experiences as a diary, but they have also landed in the professional sector with great force.

A blog can be whatever you want it to be; a complement to your business, an entertainment platform and most importantly something in which you are going to put a lot of enthusiasm and effort. A blog today is more than just a hobby, for many people it has become their job and they can make a living from it. A blog serves as a showcase for your professional activity and is highly valued by companies and human resources departments. when evaluating certain types of applications, especially if you have a professional blog.

What is a blog What is a blog for

What does a blog bring to my life?

When they ask me what a blog brings to my life , there are many quite different things; It is another way to relate and meet interesting people, it is also the excuse to continue researching on topics that I like , keep myself trained in what I like and apply it in an educational way, luckily they are part of my job.
They also help me to be more constant and to try to improve a little what I have around me, there are for business posts where I have had to do research to solve some of the problems I have written about (catch viruses, learn programs).
A great decision I made was to add a blog to my personal website, It went from being a simple website offering my services to a place of reference, documentation and training for my co-workers and clients. It has opened many doors for me because it is a way of giving the future client or boss a chance to try part of what they are going to hire.

Learn to blog

The most common question I get asked is: “ where do I learn to blog?” , and the answer is always «beginning»  I have a theory «internet is learned on the internet» and I owe a lot to blogs, when I started working in design blogs were my study books , I do not deny that it is necessary to have some knowledge of programming and design, but that is at the beginning for the template once you have done the basics you only have to worry about writing and generating content .

Evolution of blogs.

To understand what a blog is today we must go back to many years ago when small blogs were created from the forums , personal spaces in which they talked about simple experiences or hobbies and it was very normal to find blogs with a very varied theme around its creator such as little diaries .
Later on, blogs began to specialize in specific topics, soon the information system was more categorized and curated through categories and tags and began to be attractive to search engines.
Blogs began to be more popular than websites and the figures of the corporate blog, thematic blog, the professional blog to reinforce the company brand, an easier way to interact with customers, inform them and keep them up to date on a regular basis.
Today blogs are much more versatile, they allow the integration of videos, photos, infographics, posts are increasingly more interactive and visual, which has made them a source of entertainment as important as social networks for many people.
The competition when creating a blog is enormous, it is difficult to find a blog with an original and unique theme, whatever it is, there is plenty of competition in any sector you want to write about, but that is good because it helps you grow.

And came the monetization

Now blogs are places of reference for many people, you can learn what you want on the internet and compare what you need and if it is more at hand, the better, so large companies do not hesitate to invest in advertising for their products on blogs related to their category., improvements in cross-selling algorithms and ease of implementation started the biggest revolution; blogs could be monetized.

Currently, advertising plays a role, sometimes good and sometimes bad, sponsored posts have taken over some interesting blogs and it is no longer the discreet way of advertising, but there are times when the publication is more relevant than the content of the blog, but the promoters and advertisers have noticed their new mentors’ bloggers, people who recommend your product first hand to a stable public and related to what you sell.
