10 Tips to Create a Reference Blog

Surely you aspire to have a cult blog, a place that serves as a guide and inspiration to your readers and create a good position in the blogsphere, if so, I propose these 10 steps.

What I call a reference blog, is the one that gives me something new or a value proposition when I consult it, it is that blog that I go to because I know that what I read will not disappoint me.

The reference blog is the type of blog from which I am looking forward to the newsletter to open it, it is that type of blog that I am clear about and whether it is about boats, perfumes or shoes I know that you will find an in-depth entry on what what are you looking for.

The type of reference blog is the one that always gives you something else that you do not know how to define but it generates confidence and it is the blog that you recommend.

I do not want to deceive you, it is the type of blog that I aspire to and surely you also aspire, because if you are here reading and learning about blogging it means that you want to have a piece of blog, so you aspire to become a reference in your niche.

If you have not yet familiarized yourself with the concept of a niche blog, I encourage you to read this article: What is a niche blog

In short, they are blogs designed to last over time and stay in the spotlight actively.

It can be a leading blog that always echoes the trends of its theme and innovation

What differentiates a good blog from a bad one is that as time passes (the template can be horrible if) its content is still current and is still interesting.

It can be very classic with a very closed theme such as modeling, law… but if its content and its essence are valuable they will be highly valued.

Decalogue so that you have a great reference blog that your readers trust

# 1 Start with your blog and show the world what you are capable of

Starting a blog is the hardest step you can take but the most rewarding.

You wait months of not seeing a comment and hearing the cricket cricket singing between your posts, until you start to reach a relatively important corpus of posts and get readers.

It will be obvious but there are many blogs that remain in the pipeline due to lack of vision in the future, if you want your blog to be a reference you must start as soon as possible.

How to create a blog from scratch.

# 2 Be positive and encourage your followers

Never give up, avoid whining, banish everything negative from your blog, focus on helping and writing. Do not be confused by negative emotions that only attract curiosity.

You must separate your problems from your blog, because the public may not be considering your content but rather your complaints.

A drama can bring readers to a post, but by analyzing they will never be readers of your theme, remove the problems of your blog and take advantage of drafts and refloat entries in bad times.

Do not overwhelm your readers, think that many read you because they need your advice and like what you say, the people who read you may not be having a good time and perhaps being optimistic you will help them more.

# 3 Delve into the topics

Do not treat the information superficially, do not settle for the basics and try to contribute more to your reader; that’s the only way to keep your blog as a place of reference among so many news items that seem the same.

This for me is very important, it is how to choose a specialized store or a neighborhood oblivion store, to the specialized store you go and find everything you need for that matter in the oblivion store you go for different things and even if it works well for a while it is not as permanent as the other.

How to improve my interesting posts.

# 4 Focus and don’t create confusion in your readers.

If you talk about a topic, follow it and expand it around the audience that is generating the topic, so you will consolidate your ideal reader, the ideal reader is not able to bite one day on one topic and tomorrow on another.

Unless your blog has a very broad theme, you can create coherence problems.

There are things that can take you away from your focus such as sponsored posts, learn to say no.

# 5 Create content 10

Creating quality content, interesting, important, fun and that withstands the passage of time well is one way to get a blog with a long and healthy life. Blogs age and content more so you must take care of your post and refloat them from time to time so that they return to the spotlight. Content is the most important thing on your blog

Content is what hooks readers and what will make your blog stand out, you may not have the best design but if your content is valuable you will have satisfied readers who will help you advertise your blog.

# 6 Take care of your readers

Pamper your readers, watch your comments, help where you can and don’t let your guard down because they are not your exclusive asset.

Thank all your milestones in the networks and be a retailer, do not neglect anyone who passes by and leaves a hello !.

Create a community around your participatory blog, and interact with other bloggers to be solid, maintain a good relationship and flow of comments to maintain a dynamic, if there is no communication with readers it is difficult to build loyalty.

# 7 Do not abuse the patience of your readers

Do not abuse your readers, do not waste time with content that is not interesting make sure that what you actually offer with your post works or is going to be what they expect thanks to the title, otherwise the bounce rate will eat you up.

Likewise, it tries to offer a fast blog that does not take long to load so that they do not fall asleep waiting.

Sometimes it happens to me that there are blogs that seem to tease me because they do not contribute anything, I find them in Google looking for something and they do not say anything, they are blogs empty of content and essence from which we have to flee.

# 8 Accept criticism and learn to “weather the storm”

In bad times, in those moments are when you will realize that you are on the right track, doing things differently may not be understood at first.

When my grandmother criticized me for something I did, she would tell me: “There are people who pay to be criticized and thus be smarter”, grandmothers…

# 9 Don’t make sudden changes

Neither in the theme nor in the design, and try to ask your readers for feedback and make them participate in some decisions, for example including a new category, a design change…

Make them see that the objective of your blog is them and that when you change something it is to improve their experience. For small changes always rely on tests a | b.

When I make changes, I make many and often, but I try to keep the essence, I go little by little, I like how the blog is.

# 10 Design for your readers

Design your blog in a way that is more comfortable and intuitive for your readers, try to offer them what they need, many times we follow cutting-edge designs that keep us away from readers because they are complicated to use, look at reference blogs on your subject and see if people are comfortable or if they have complaints.

From the letter to the color you choose, the design is important.

Enjoy what you do with your blog

As you can see, all these tips are for stable blogs with quality content, this type of blog better withstands the passage of time, for example, having your topics well defined and not having a scattered audience is easy.

Having a blog of reference around a content 10 means that you can create a community around the blog.

If you spend time to deepen and pamper the content of your blog by noses it has to stand out, also for this you have more allies than you think, Google is becoming more semantic and rewards original quality content and the most important thing is the boom, each time we choose blogs to inform ourselves.

For example, I am the most inexperienced person for fashion, thanks to blogs I catch up on trends as well as I find out about news about technology in others.

Now it is easy to find out, thanks to the fact that blogs are the means of communication despite whoever it may be, 10 years ago you bought magazines about what you liked, now you search the internet or subscribe to blogs.

If you know your subject well, you will be able to generate your own opinion and create articles from your own point of view, so your content will become much more valuable than mere information as instructions.
