Decisions I’ve made related to Facebook to promote

There are many things that when you set up your first blog, you keep thinking about Facebook and other social networks. I’m going to tell you about my experience.

Perhaps they are some very simple things seen from the outside, but on these decisions lies the responsibility of getting your blog to succeed. I don’t usually write very personal posts, but this one required me to get wet telling you first-hand why I’ve made some decisions regarding Facebook. Perhaps they will help you or at least help you make your own regarding various issues that surround us regarding your blog and social networks.

Decisions I've made related to Facebook to promote

1 Should I create a profile to manage the blog on social networks? or manage from my personal page?

Perhaps you have solved this question or you have not yet reached it, but I am going to tell you about the best decision I have made on Facebook and how I got there. If you want to see another moment of darkness that happened to me with Facebook, see the reasons to delete you from Facebook

I LOADED MY FACEBOOK

A long time ago I made a blog and linked it to my personal , private Facebook account, I shared my articles with family and friends. In my case the theme is bad and it’s a real pain for someone who has no idea , others didn’t understand why I had a blog or what I was talking about, they saw it as a waste of time so the messages were demotivating, this made me tired and stopped promoting my blog to them.
On my wall I don’t spam them at all. With my personal Facebook account, I participated in tags, groups and the exchange of likes. That became overwhelming since I stopped seeing the news from the pages that interested me to see pages that I didn’t like so much, I wanted to see my things and my people, even several people thought I was going to have a baby for commenting on maternity blogs and they congratulated me, haha. I accepted friendships related to blogs , and to people with whom I didn’t have much in common, I stopped when it came to posting things, in short, it was as if my Facebook wall wasn’t mine , plus some topics that I gave Like they worried my friends and family. So, I decided to close that profile, I also sold those blogs on those dates, so it was easy, I went back to ask my friends and family to come to the new one,

2 Should I automate all my content?

Here I had to make the decision to automate just enough and program more.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PROGRAMMING AND AUTOMATING IS FINE:

  • Automating is publishing content automatically
  • Programming is creating content to be published at a certain time

There are more nuances but this is very simple, when you publish a post and it is automatically shared on all networks it is automating, when you create a post and create a text to share it on networks at a certain time you are programming content.
At first it was almost all automated , there are also apps that automate your content by taking it from the feed and you could also do it with the content of other blogs, so you could have your Facebook timeline well stocked but… without any personality.
So I started to program networks to be able to link the posts in a different way , the bad thing is that I work and I have a life… doing it is very complicated so I have decided to apply a formula that lightens me a lot in some networks.
In the case of Facebook, I try to follow this formula to balance the content, thinking of an average of 60-70 monthly publications.

  • 50% scheduled and personalized content
  • 10% Spontaneous live content I do when I’m bored
  • 15% automated which is when I publish newly written posts
  • 25% curated content from other media that I vary

In the case of Instagram, I publish everything hot, by the way, neither a calendar nor anything, in short, I’m a disaster, but I’m working on it and I think that soon I’ll put a little order in it and I’ll try to publish more of my stuff.
Twitter does give me a lot of laziness but there I program a lot and I retweet a lot, I heal much more than on other networks since I don’t generate as much content as to publish so many tweets per month.

3 I should do Facebook ads campaigns

At first I played it strong, because before, even if you didn’t advertise, Facebook showed your page, now about every 5 publications they put an ad. How much space are left on the pages? , unless you subscribe you have no chance of appearing, however there are pages that stopped skipping me years ago. This is a decision conditioned by the economy and it is something more personal, in my case I tried to be strong and in the end I fell but I am very happy with the result since leaving a campaign with the minimum daily budget I am reaching followers and that is enough important. From time to time I promote posts on Instagram but much less than on FB. Doing Facebook ads campaigns is cool if you want to get followers for your page or promote a course or product , the important thing is that you value if you are getting the result you need, in my case they are exceeding my expectations so I am very motivated with the ads. These are decisions that I have made with small points related to Facebook , perhaps you will have a similar crossroads at some point, so think, reflect, ask other people who have a blog how they have managed to handle that situation and do what is most flattering for you result.
